The TransVac vacuum system consists of vertical and horizontal piping that ties multiple buildings and outside loading points to a centralized transport system. Loading stations, with controlled access, are strategically located inside buildings or around campuses to fit the needs of each facility. Once loaded into chutes, waste and linens are transported via pneumatic action through tubes to central collection points. Waste is carried to compactors where it is automatically prepared for collection. Different types of waste (garbage, confidential business papers, recyclables, etc.) can be sorted, separated and prepared for disposition. Soiled linens are transported to a separate collection area where they are delivered directly to the in-house laundry or prepared for transportation to an off-site facility. The entire, totally sealed system is controlled and monitored using custom designed TransVac software.
